Have you seen the new PokerPro texas hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a short getaway with my mom to the WinStar Betting house in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my name to be acknowledged at the live tables, I observed how the other men and women around the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was quite interesting to say the very least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no clay poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that spotted this, except I did observe the gamblers at the table had a dull high quality to them. The reason behind this may possibly be because there was no human discussion with the croupier, the environment was relatively boring and the gamblers looked bored stiff. It was almost as if I was viewing a live variant of a web-based holdem poker room rather than sitting with warm blooded humans. It was a little bizarre and I kept flashing back to a show of ST:TNG and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables was over an hour, I decided to observe how the casino game action was and to encounter this new hold’em poker gaming technologies. Soon after betting a few hands, I actually felt like I was playing at residence. The lack of activity in the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle and stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are feasible at these digital tables.
Another thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I wagered a whole lot of hands on the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a whole lot like a web-based hold’em poker website. That could have been just a coincidence, except I discovered it to become really odd.
Soon after betting a few rounds with this "unique texas hold’em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m better off playing hold em poker on the web at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den had been to acquire rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d loose a great deal of players.
