Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes directly to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the initial bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up money even with your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
