Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the casino, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers wager against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more skillful people taking their $$$$.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and plan without having to make hasty selections.
It’s also much simpler to participate in for an extended time with only a tiny bit of money seeing as, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer receives 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
